Yoga

June's teaching style focuses on listening to the needs of the whole person. Through direct experience and gentle, clear guidance, learn how to practise yoga in a way that supports your body’s needs, your mind’s clarity, your emotional stability and spiritual attunement. June custom designs her classes to accommodate the needs of her students, whether it is to slow down and tune in, to heal physical conditions which require gentleness, or to simply increase your level of well being.


Yoga Therapy
Yoga Therapy is distinguished from regular yoga in that it puts the healing emphasis on specific areas of the body and mind. Yoga therapy may target a condition such as chronic pain, or a part of the body which is not functioning optimally due to injury or illness, mental and emotional areas of distress such as anxiety, depression, attention deficit and stress. This is accomplished through the practice of specific yoga postures, breath work and philosophy.



Hatha Yoga Class
Learn the foundational postures of yoga. This class involves physical postures, breath work (or pranayama as it is called in yoga) and deep relaxation practice. Class suitable for those new to yoga or those with experience who want to deepen their fundamental understanding of postures and breath.

Yoga as a Path of Self-Discovery
In this class we explore yoga postures both Hatha and Yin, breath, meditation, chanting and philosophy. The focus is on deepening your awareness of your inner world for the purpose of positively impacting your everyday life. In other words, how to transfer the principles of yoga to your moment by moment living. Class suitable for beginners to advanced students.

Yin Yoga Class
Practice longer, slower stretches with an attitude of surrender and a relaxation of effort. Yin yoga targets the connective tissues, such as fascia, ligaments, tendons, bones and joints.
